    1. Council grant an exemption to the Capitol Centre located at 150 Main Street East to Noise By-Law No. 2014-53, pursuant to the terms and conditions outlined by Section 5 of the by-law and that the proponent notify residents and businesses within a one block radius of the Capitol Centre, for the following dates and time:
              Saturday, September 3, 2022    12 pm until 11:00 pm
              Sunday, September 4, 2022       12 pm until 11:00 pm; and
    2. a copy of Report to Council IO 2022-02 dated March 31, 2022 from Victoria Thomas be forwarded to the North Bay Police Services for information.

Council grant an exemption to New Ontario Brewing Company located at 1401 Seymour Street to Noise By-Law No. 2014-53, pursuant to the terms and conditions outlined by Section 5 of the by-law and that the proponent notify residents and businesses within a one block radius of the New Ontario Brewing Company, for the following dates and time:
                  ●     every Friday and Saturday evening
                  ●     starting June 3, 2022 through September 10, 2022
                  ●     event time would start at 6:00 pm and end at 11:58 pm; and     
    2. a copy of Report to Council IO 2022-04 dated April 21, 2022 from Victoria Thomas be forwarded to the North Bay Police Services for information.

    Whereas the City of North Bay is located on the ancestral lands of the Nipissing First Nation;

    And Whereas recognition of the heritage and history of Nipissing First Nation in our community is important to share;

    And Whereas Chief Shabogesic was one of the most significant Nipissing First Nation Chiefs, who was signatory to the Robinson Huron Treaty of 1850. 

    Therefore Be It Resolved that The Council of the City of North Bay recognize Nipissing First Nation heritage as an important part of our community’s history rename Marathon Beach as “Shaabgiizhig Jiigbiik” in Ojibway, and also to be known as “Shabogesic Beach”.

    And Further Be It Resolved that a plaque be constructed, in consultation with Nipissing First Nation, on the beach to share that history.
